Volunteer Cayuga Volunteer
Location: Hybrid (UW office, remote and in-community outreach)
Position Summary
The Volunteer Cayuga Volunteer serves as a community ambassador for the Volunteer Cayuga platform, helping connect individuals with meaningful volunteer opportunities across Cayuga County. This role supports outreach to local businesses and nonprofits, strengthens relationships with current volunteer agencies and volunteers, and assists with training and data tracking to ensure a high-quality volunteer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Community Outreach & Recruitment
Contact local businesses, nonprofits, schools, and community organizations to share information about the Cayuga Volunteer platform.
Encourage organizations to become registered posting agencies and support them through the onboarding process.
Distribute flyers and promotional materials at community locations and events.
Agency & Volunteer Engagement
Conduct follow-up with current volunteer agencies to encourage active posting and platform usage.
Check in with registered volunteers to promote new opportunities and ongoing engagement.
Training & Support
Assist UWCC staff with virtual or in-person training webinars for agencies and volunteers.
Provide basic guidance to users on platform navigation and best practices (with staff support).
Data & Administrative Support
Assist with tracking and documenting volunteer hours for UWCC and partner agencies.
Help maintain accurate records related to outreach, trainings, and engagement activities.
