Who We Are

ARISE/EFR partners with people with disabilities to advance independence and remove barriers through advocacy and services so every person has the freedom to pursue the life they choose. At ARISE/EFR we envision a world where disability never limits opportunity, and every community is built for everyone.

What We Do

At ARISE-EFR, we partner with individuals of all ages and abilities including people with disabilities and their families to promote independence, inclusion, and choice in the community. We provide a wide range of supports that help people live, work, and participate fully every day. Our services include: Independent Living Support & Advocacy: Helping individuals with disabilities access resources, build self-advocacy skills, and remove barriers in areas like housing, education, benefits, employment, and transportation. Disability Services & Family Support: Offering person-centered support, community habilitation, respite opportunities, social groups, and family-focused programs that encourage engagement, skill-building, and connection. Employment Services: Supporting job seekers with career planning, workplace readiness, job placement, and on-the-job coaching to help people find and keep meaningful employment. Access and Service Navigation: Guiding individuals and families through eligibility, applications, and referrals for state and community services, ensuring they connect with the right supports at the right time. Aging & Accessibility Programs: Providing assistance with aging-related needs, disability-related services, accessibility assessments, and consumer-directed care including options like Veteran Directed Care and our Ramps Program. Recreation, Community Inclusion, and Enrichment: Creating social, recreational, and arts-based opportunities like inclusive outings, community events, and Adaptive Design initiatives that foster belonging and skill development. We rely on volunteers to help bring these programs to life, whether supporting events, assisting with community activities, helping with advocacy work, or enhancing day-to-day experiences for the people we serve.
