We operate two museums dedicated to preserving history and education the public about our past. The Howland Stone Store showcases the legacy of Slocum Howland as well as Jethro Wood and Emily Howland. It also houses The Cabinet of Curiosites, a world class collection of artifacts. Opendore preserves the work the Howland family did regarding Women's Rights.
What We Do
Preserve the legacy of the Sherwood Historical Area and the Howland family. Educate about their efforts to end slavery, pass sufferage and provide education.
