Summer Facilities Operation Manager
Daily
1. Keep all toilets and sinks supplied with paper products (toilet paper & paper towels), wash and sanitize fixtures daily or more often as needed
2. Hose down toilets and showers as needed or at least every other day
3. Set up and manage all garbage, recycling and compost collections in camp and get them to the correct place at the right time – clean out containers as needed
4. Measure and record chlorine and turbidity in tap water in kitchen daily
5. Address general maintenance issues when they arise (replacing light bulbs, trail washouts, etc. - Seek help when necessary.
6. Be alert to any maintenance/safety issues. Address them or, if necessary, report them to the Director
7. Keep a log of all maintenance issues addressed aside from the ordinary routine jobs
8. Keep Volunteer Barn orderly and be familiar with the supplies kept there
9. Make sure all hazardous cleaning supplies are properly stored
10.Restock kindling in campfire area
11.Maintain athletic fields and equipment
12.Light repair of facilities
Weekly
1. Check smoke detectors in all buildings, replace batteries as needed
Potential Non-Urgent Maintenance Projects
1. Spread wood chips on trails (with camper help if possible)
2. Spread crushed stone around campfire circle
3. Clip over-hanging branches on driveway and trails, etc.
4. Apply wood stain to camp buildings
5. Spread crushed stone under all outdoor water spigots
6. Clear blown down tree branches from mowed areas
7. Rake or sweep material on bridge to respective side
8. Stain Lodge
9. Paint/stain lodge steps with gritted paint, paint handrails, deck
10.Label all watercraft---paint/marker with “Camp Gregory”
11.Stain upper entrance fence and gate brown
12.Set out “NO TRESPASSING” signs around property boundary
13.Clean out bar-b-que grills (2), brush off rust and paint with black heat paint
14.Stain all cabins except Infirmary
15.Paint doors on cabins 1, 2, 3 colorful colors
16.Put stone or sand between asphalt and fence at multicourt
Pay
Flexible Schedule for 6 weeks
$15 per hour with a maximum of $3000 (for the summer) or 200 hours
