PROJECT REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Must physically be within Cayuga County
- Open to 501(c)3 organizations and community spaces such as libraries and public parks
- Must have an on-site coordinator for the duration of the event
- Projects can be half-day (4 hours) or day-long (6+ hours)
- Rain / inclement weather plan
How Do I Register a Project for Day of Caring?

Step 1: Register as an individual volunteer. This is how you will manage your Agency account.
§ How to: On the main page, select “sign up” in the task bar located at the top of the page.

Step 2: Register your Organization/Agency.

Step 3: Add a Volunteer “Need” (Registering your Day of Caring Project)

§ How to: Once you log into your account, select “My Agency” located in the taskbar at the top of the page. Scroll down and select “Needs” and “Add new need”.
Please pay attention to these steps:
Add a new “Need”:
§ Designate a Site Supervisor: turn on
-Include cell phone and email (required)
§ Duration:
Need date: 08/06/2026
Registration Closed Date: 07/10/2026
§ Capacity: number of volunteers needed for project (1-15)
§ Hours: between 2-6 (starts at 9am)
§ Allow team registration: yes
§ Promotions and Sharing:
-Privacy: Private
-Initiative: Day of Caring 2026
